Sure, I knew I would one day publish my music compositions. But a book? Filled with words, thoughts, ideas, emotions, and the like? Boy was I wrong.

And I'm happy to be wrong...

It all started with a dream. That dream turned into a passion, a journey, and finally, a story. And as a person who writes, I use the tools found in my toolbox. They're old tools, yes -- (antiquated verse form of sonnets). But they're mine. Some people can write prose, or fiction stories. Or maybe a How-To book. Still others can draw. It doesn't matter the form. What's important, is the message the authors deliver. We don't forget that it takes time, inspiration, dedication, and motivation to write. I'm not here to tell you writing a book is easy. Nothing in life is...But I will say I'm proud of the time I spent on my book for the past 3 years. My first book is entitled Sonnets for a Soulmate. You can read more about it or even order it. (Of course I'm encouraging it. I'm its author, therefore, I'm biased, right?)

We've all heard the cliche, "Life is short." Right? Well, what are you doing with your life? Seriously, when was the last time you stopped and did some sort of self-evaluation? Are you proud of yourself? Have you made something of yourself? Have you even tried? ... Honestly? Where did it take you? Do you really have so little time in a rat-race life that allows you to watch 2-3 hours of TV several times a week? Why not write? Paint. Build something. DO something.

I have several passions. I can't sing, but that doesn't stop me from writing music for more than 15 years. I like to write. I also like to hear my music performed, my book (soon) held and read, and the magic I look for in people I come in contact with because they've enjoyed my conversation, personality, or my the output of my work.

Already I'm feeling the jitters of holding my book in my own hands. It is utterly amazing!

Yes, I'm planning to celebrate...if you live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area, email me at edward@cervinski.com and I'll fill you in on the details. You might be invited to my party !!

The official Publication date for Sonnets for a Soulmate is October 31, 2005.

Be Good, Be Kind, and God Bless!

EFC

Edward F.
